Who We Are

Founded in 2025, the Lake County Young Democrats was created on a mission to give young people a chance to advocate for policies they believe in through our chapter and help young Democrats in Lake County run for office.

What We Do

We are 100% dedicated to activating civil interest among young people in Lake County, which we support by giving young people opportunities to participate in engaging with candidates and helping get candidates who support our values elected.

By doing this, we hope to also build a general interest for politics among young people here in Lake County and build a bench for future leadership in our state.

  • Other than becoming a member, other ways you can help include:

    • Getting the word out to other young people in Lake County

    • Following our Social Media accounts

    • Attending events of ours

    • Canvassing, phone banking, sign waving, or participating in other campaigning methods for candidates we support.

If you feel you have any additional skills or ideas of how you can help, don’t be afraid to reach out to us via email!

  • Absolutely.

Any time you spend answering voter’s questions, assembling canvassing packets, attending candidate events, and register voters, you are making a difference, whether it be 1 or 100 potential voters.

The power of the people matter the most in a democracy, even when it feels undermined. Your efforts could be the push a candidate, amendment, or any other election needs to change history.

  • Meetings are the third Saturday of every month at 6:30 P.M. and take place at the Lake County Democratic Party offices at 4400 County Rd 19A Suite 7, Mt Dora, FL 32757.

You can also join our meetings online on Zoom here, our meeting ID is 863 7039 4538.
